Organized by Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum Foundation
Kusakabe Mingeikan, Hida Takayama 60th Anniversary Special Performance
October 16 (Fri) – October 18 (Sun), 2026
Seeking the Field
Min Tanaka + Rin Ishihara + Hirokazu Taniguchi, and Marihiko Hara
A special performance by artists of body and sound, dwelling within the spirit of Kusakabe Mingeikan, Hida Takayama.
Min Tanaka is a dancer who embodies the origins of dance through his body. Rin Ishihara has long carried and expressed this physical language in closest proximity. Hirokazu Taniguchi, grounded in classical Japanese dance, has pursued the essence of the body through unadorned movement. Marihiko Hara is a composer and sound artist who delicately opens the relationship between sound, space, and the body. The bodies and sounds of these four artists, each working at the forefront of their respective fields, intersect within the Kusakabe Mingeikan—a space imbued with layers of lived memory. A moment beyond the theatre.
