作家プロフィール樋口裕康（ひぐちひろやす／建築士、パタパタ絵巻士）
39年静岡市に生まれる。64年U研究室入室。吉阪隆正、大竹十一に学ぶ。71年象設計集団設立に参加。場所の発見、潜在資源の発掘等、場所にこだわった地域、建築の有様を発表。沖縄県恩納村基本構想、名護市庁舎、埼玉県宮代町—進修館等を発表。91年北海道音更町、小学校廃校（元チンネル小学校）に事務所を移転。夏冬のワークショップ。夏は小さな森の中で、冬は厳冬期の然別湖、湖上、雪氷の空間。春にはとけて水にもどる。徒労。2004年象の本「空間に恋して」2015年「好きなことはやらずにはいられない。吉阪隆正との対話」2019年「パタパタ絵巻—村」展、帯広市。

田中泯　(たなかみん／ダンサー)74年独自の活動を開始。「ハイパーダンス」と称した新たなスタイルを発展。78年ルーブル美術館において海外デビュー。80年代、旧共産圏で前衛パフォーマンスを多数決行。国際的に高い評価を獲得。85年山村へ移り住み、農業を礎とした舞踊活動を現在も継続中。02年に映画初出演。以後映像界でも国内外で活動中。著書『僕はずっと裸だった』、共著『意身伝心』、『写真集「光合成」MIN by KEIICHI TAHARA』。

石原淋（いしはらりん／ダンサー）鹿児島県出身。94年、NHK音楽映像ドラマ「ハムレット幻蒼」で映像デビュ－。番組にダンサーとして出演していた田中泯に出会いその後、師事。96年から多数の舞踊団公演に出演し、06年より本格的にソロ活動を開始。「昭和の体重」「踊り場作業「『否連続』non-continuity」「野をさがす」「象が聴こえる」「オドリといるために」「風の隙間で」などそれぞれ複数回のシリーズとして、現在も継続。

Min Tanaka (Dancer)
Began his original solo expression activities in 1974 and developed a new style called “hyper-dance” which emphasized psycho-physical unity of the body.  Having made his international debut at the Louvre in 1978, he performed his avant-garde dance in many of the former-communist countries through out the 1980’s and gained international recognition. In 1985, He moved to and still lives in a village in the mountainside, in search for deeper physicality in his daily life based on farming.  Since his first film appearance in 2002, he has actively performed in the field of cinema nationally and internationally.  He authored Bokuwa zotto hadaka datta (My Bare Body)  and co-authored Ishin Denshin (Conscious Body, Contagious Mind).  Photo books include Photosynthesis MIN by Keiichi TAHARA.

Seigow Matsuoka (Director, the Editorial Engineering Laboratory)
Applying research findings from diverse fields such as Japanese culture, art, life science, and system engineering to information culture technology, he established the concept of editorial engineering.  Also as one of the most prominent researchers of Japanese culture, he advocates the concept, “Japan as a methodology.”  His selected works include Runateikkusu (Lunatics), Furagyairu (Fragile), Yugaku (Play-ology), Nihon toiu houhou (Japan as a Methodology) , Nihon-ryu (Japan-style),  Modoki (A State of Mimicry), among many.  In 2000, Matsuoka began a series of book review on his website, A thousand nights, a thousand books, and its paperback edition has been published since 2018.

Rin Ishihara (dancer)Born in Kagoshima, Japan.  Debut with Hamlet –The Pale Cast of Thought, a music image drama produced by Japan’s national TV broadcasting NHK in 1994. After co-appearing with dancer Min Tanaka in the production, she began her dance training under him.  Since 1996, she has performed in a number of dance performances directed by Tanaka as a member of his dance troupe. She endeavored to perform her solo works in 2006.  Ever since, her solo series has continued to date, including The Showa Era—What’s the Weight of Its Body?, Dance Milieux [non-continuity], Seeking in the Wilderness, In Silence, Dance, Inside, The Blank Winds, performing multiple times in every title.http://www.min-tanaka.com

田中泯 ダンス　ー踊りに惚れちゃって！ー
『形の冒険 II ー ムカムカ版』

長い間、劇場での公演を休止していた田中泯が、作秋より公演を再開。ダンスへの想い・試みに、より踏み込む仲間と共同で創作運動を展開したいと思っています。2020年1月東京芸術劇場での田中泯ソロ公演の創作始動にあたり、新しい仲間を募集します。舞台に立ち、カラダを動かし、劇場空間を創り、田中のソロダンスと同時に存在する人を求めます。舞台の裏方と出演者の両方を立場として持つ役目です。

Adventure of Form Ⅱ: Fallin’ for Dance! —Pissed-Off Version—

After a log recess from preforming in theaters, Min Tanaka returned to Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre last fall. Since his comeback, he has hoped to develop his creation together with comrades who could share and deepen further a longing and endeavor for dance. Upon him beginning the creation of his solo performance scheduled in January 2020 at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, we would like to welcome new fellows. We look for the mates who will stand on the stage, move their bodies, create the theatrical space, and exist simultaneously with his solo dance. Their roles will be both on-stage as casts and off-stage as backstage people, not one of the either.

Criteria:
●No experience of physical expression needed. Regardless of age, nationality, or gender identity.
●Be able to manage your body and time on your own.
●Be able to commit and participate in all of the following days.
*Please note that all the production process will be carried out in Japanese language.

高山登（たかやまのぼる／美術家）

Noboru Takayama (artist)
Born in Tokyo in 1944. He grew up playing with such artists as Saburo Aso and Toshiko and Iri Maruki, as Nagasaki Atelier Village was just around the corner of his house. In 1963, he enrolled at Tokyo University of the Arts’ Painting Department. In his second year in college, he traveled Hokkaido visiting coal mines, with help through Taeko Tomiyama, whose painting themed on Asia and war responsibility. Takayama studied under Kaoru Yamaguchi in his third year and continued his practice under Gyoji Nomiyama in his graduate program in the same university. In 1968, Takayama began using railroad ties and presented works including Underground Zoo, Villageseries, Nopperabou (Faceless), and Yusatsuseries in his solo exhibitions and group shows. In 1970, he exhibited Underground Zooin a group show Space Totsuka ’70 at Space Totsuka (Yokohama), and in the same year, he graduated MFA at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 1973, he participated in the 8th Paris Youth Biennale and presented Yusatsu—Headless Scenery. He participated in the P.S.1 International Studio Program (1990-1991) and presented Yusatsu—Headless Scenery. Min Tanaka presented his performance at the installation site. He participated in one of the major survey exhibition of Mono-ha, Japan 1970: Matter and Perception, Mono-ha and the Search for Fundamentals (1995-1996) and presented Yusatsu—Headless Scenery. The show toured four museums in Japan as well as the Musee D’Art Moderne in Saint-Etienne in France. In 1997, he presented Kodama/Yusatsu—Headless Scenery in the 2nd Gwangju Biennale together with other artists including Noriyuki Haraguchi, Saburo Muraoka, Hotaro Koyama, and Min Tanaka. Takayama held his solo exhibition titled 300 Pieces of Railroad Ties: Breathing Spacein the Miyagi Museum of Art in 2010, and Min Tanaka performed as a part of the program. In 2011, Takayama held his solo exhibition MAKURAGI(meaning railroad ties) in the University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts, commemorating his retirement from the university. Min Tanaka performed at the exhibition site. Upon receiving the Enku Grand Award in 2012, Takayama held a commemorating exhibition Yusatsuin the Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu. In the same year, he had a solo exhibition Rat Trap + Underground Zoo + 3.11in Kamakura Gallery (Kanagawa) and was appointed Professor Emeritus of Tokyo University of the Arts. He was included in Japanorama: New Vision on Art since 1970, held in Centre Pompidou-Metz (Metz, France) in 2017. In 2018, Kayn Griffin Corcoran (LA) presented his solo exhibition, Noboru Takayama.

藤村克裕（ふじむらかつひろ／美術家）
1951年帯広市で生まれ高卒まで同地で育つ。1970年上京、美術を学び始める。1982年真木画廊で初個展、以降作品発表多数。2016年日本国で三番目に狭い古本屋＝「古本・おふね舎」を開店、現在に至る。2021年に久々の個展発表を予定している。

Katsuhiro Fujimura (artist)
Born in Hokkaido in 1951. In 1970, he moved to Tokyo and began studying art. He held his first solo exhibition at Maki Gallery (Tokyo) in 1982, and has actively presented numerous works. 1974年独自の活動を開始。「ハイパーダンス」と称した新たなスタイルを発展。1978年ルーブル美術館において海外デビュー。1980年代、旧共産圏で前衛パフォーマンスを多数決行。国際的に高い評価を獲得。1985年山村へ移り住み、農業を礎とした舞踊活動を現在も継続中。2002年に映画初出演。以後映像界でも国内外で活動中。著書『僕はずっと裸だった』、共著『意身伝心』、『写真集「光合成」MIN by KEIICHI TAHARA』。

Min Tanaka (dancer)
Began his activities in 1974 and developed his own dance style called ‘hyper-dance.’ In 1978, he made an internationally debuted in the Louvre. His avant-garde performances in several former communist countries in the ’80s were highly recognized among cultural and intellectual pioneers of the time. Tanaka moved to the countryside in 1985 and has continued his dance activity based on farming to date. Since the first film appearance in 2002, he has also continued expanding his scope of activities in moving images nationally and internationally. He is an author of Boku wa zutto hadaka datta(My Barre Body) and co-authored Ishin Denshin(Conscious Body, Conscious Mind). His photobooks include Photosynthesis MIN by Keiichi TAHARA.

Kuniichi Uno (Scholar of French Literature, Critic)
Born in Shimane in 1948. Scholar of French Literature and critic. Focusing on the research of Antonin ArtaudandGilles Deleuze, body theories, and body philosophies, he continues his speculation and critique, expanding the realms of genre and territory. 大友良英（おおともよしひで／音楽家）
1959生。映画やテレビの音楽を山のように作りつつ、ノイズや即興の現場がホームの音楽家。ギタリスト、ターンテーブル奏者。活動は日本のみならず欧米、アジアと多方面にわたる。美術と音楽の中間領域のような展示作品や一般参加のプロジェクトやプロデュースワークも多数。震災後は故郷の福島でも活動。その活動で2012年には芸術選奨文部科学大臣賞芸術振興部門を受賞。2013年「あまちゃん」の音楽でレコード大賞作曲賞を受賞。2017年札幌国際芸術祭の芸術監督を務める。2019年NHK大河ドラマ「いだてん」の音楽を担当。90年代よりアジア各地のミュージシャンのネットワークに現在も奔走中。

OTOMO Yoshihide (musician)
Born in 1959. Guitarist and turntable player. He bases his music on experimental music such as noise and improvisation while creating a ton of music for films and TV. He has performed extensively not just in Japan but in Europe and Asia. His innovative approach has led him to create installation-based artworks crossing a border between visual art and music. As a producer, he has also extended his career, producing numerous music works and public projects. In 2012, He was awarded the Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts in the category of Promotion for his initiative in his hometown Fukushima after the Great Tohoku Earthquake. In the following year, he received the Japan Record Awards for Best Composition for his music created for Amachan, a TV drama series whose story is based in Fukushima. In 2017, he served as Artistic Director for the Sapporo International Art Festival. He creates music for Idaten, current series of Taiga drama on NHK. 村上史郎（むらかみしろう／音楽家）
1989年生まれ。4歳で盆踊りの太鼓を叩いたことが音楽の入口。東京藝術大学音楽環境創造科で作曲を学ぶ。神楽など日本古来の音をさがして各地でフィールドレコーディングを行う。2010年CCMC MOTUS賞。2013年Mick沢口氏のサラウンドによる自然音とピアノのアルバム『熊野幻想』『山河幻想』を発表。田中泯が26年間継続した山梨の山村を利用したアートフェスティバル「ダンス白州(2008年〜最終章2009年)」」での出会いをきっかけに、その後も田中泯 演出の舞踊活動で数多くの音を担当。

Shiro Murakami (musician)
Born in 1989. Drumming for Bon Odori summer dance festival at the age of four was his first inspiration for music. He studied music composition at Tokyo University of the Arts Department of Musical Creativity and the Environment. He began field recording throughout Japan in search of the sound of ancient times. In 2010, he was awarded the Motus prize for The Contemporary Computer Music Concert (CCMC). He released two soundscape albums Kumano Gensoand Sanga Gensoin 2013, collaborating his piano with surround-recorded nature sounds by Mick Sawaguchi, one of the world’s leading proponents of surround sound. Murakami participated in Dance Hakushu 2008 and the Final Dance Hakushu 2019, an annual dance and art festival which Tanaka organized for 26 years in a remote village in Yamanashi, and that has led Murakami to take part in as sound performer for a number of dance performances Min Tanaka directed.

国宝・一遍聖絵は鎌倉時代の時宗の祖である僧侶・一遍の生涯を描いた絵巻。最先端の技法以外にも当時の人々の暮らしを知る貴重な資料となっている。作品の魅力をひもとく。
日本最古の絹本絵巻である聖絵は、裏からも彩色されることで肌の濃淡など細かな表情を生み出した。そして爆発的な信者を生み出した一遍の布教の様子がわかる。救いがないとされた物乞いや病人でも念仏を唱えれば極楽浄土に行けると説いた一遍。その究極の祈りの形が踊り念仏。踊り念仏とは何か？そしてなぜ生まれたのか？一遍の生き方に心酔してきた舞踊家の田中泯さんが絵巻に描かれた発祥の地を旅しながら一遍の思想に迫る。

“Nichiyo Bijutsukan (Sunday Art Museum): Nembutsu Dance and the Ippen Hijiri-e”

National treasure Ippen Hijiri-e is a set of handscrolls documenting the life of Ippen, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Ji school in Kamakura-era. Besides the latest and finest painting techniques of the time, the handscrolls contain rare documentation and illustration of the everyday life of people at the time.
The Ippen Hijiri-e is considered to be the oldest silk-ground handscrolls exist in Japan, and with the finest technique to paint on both front and back side of the screens, they recapture the liveliness of the time through the detailed shades of colors. The illustrations depict various scenes throughout Japan where Ippen and his fellow monks preached to the people that invocation of the name of Amida, a practice called nembutsu will ensure rebirth in the Pure Land, even the sick or the poor. The ultimate form of the prayer is “dancing Nembutsu (odori-nembutsu),” chanting and dancing to music on the street, and this created a vast number of the followers. What is Odori-Nembtsu? Why did it spread so widely? Dancer Min Tanaka, who has long been fascinated by Ippen’s way of life, will travel to the places depicted by the handscrolls and visit Ippen’s thoughts.

インターネットやＳＮＳの隆盛で常に他者の動向に細心の注意を払わずにはいられなくなっている私たち現代人。自主的に判断・行動する主体性を喪失し、根無し草のように浮遊し続ける無定形で匿名な集団のことを「大衆」と呼びます。そんな大衆の問題を、今から一世紀近く前に、鋭い洞察をもって描いた一冊の本があります。「大衆の反逆」。スペインの哲学者オルテガ・イ・ガセット(1883 – 1955）が著した、大衆社会論の嚆矢となる名著です。

社会のいたるところに充満しつつある大衆。彼らは「他人と同じことを苦痛に思うどころか快感に感じる」人々でした。急激な産業化や大量消費社会の波に洗われ、人々は自らのコミュニティや足場となる場所を見失ってしまいます。その結果、もっぱら自分の利害や好み、欲望だけをめぐって思考・行動をし始めます。自分の行動になんら責任を負わず、自らの欲望や権利のみを主張することを特徴とする「大衆」の誕生です。２０世紀にはいり、圧倒的な多数を占め始めた彼らが、現代では社会の中心へと躍り出て支配権をふるうようになったとオルテガは分析し、このままでは私たちの文明の衰退は避けられないと警告します。

オルテガは、こうした大衆化に抗して、自らに課せられた制約を積極的に引き受け、その中で存分に能力を発揮することを旨とするリベラリズムを主唱します。そして、「多数派が少数派を認め、その声に注意深く耳を傾ける寛容性」や「人間の不完全性を熟知し、個人の理性を超えた伝統や良識を座標軸にすえる保守思想」を、大衆社会における民主主義の劣化を食い止める処方箋として提示します。

政治家学者の中島岳志さんによれば、オルテガのこうした主張が、現代の民主主義の問題点や限界を見事に照らし出しているといいます。果たして、私たちは、大衆社会の問題を克服できるのか？現代の視点から「大衆の反逆」を読み直し、歴史の英知に学ぶ方法やあるべき社会像を学んでいきます。

江戸の天才浮世絵師・葛飾北斎。彼がのこした作品の中で“幻のコレクション”と呼ばれる作品群が存在する。アメリカ・ワシントンのフリーア美術館が所蔵する２２０点にのぼる“肉筆画”だ。北斎が描いた“肉筆画”の中でも質・量ともに世界随一といわれるこのコレクション。しかし創設者フリーアの遺志で館外への持ち出しは一切禁じられ日本で公開されたことは一度もない。その全貌に俳優・井浦新が挑む。また、番組内ではドラマ構成部分で晩年の北斎に田中泯が扮する。本作番組は、NHK 8K開局特番として制作され 8K放送以外にもBSプレミアム、NHK地上波でも放送を予定している。

他人には見えなくたって、僕はオドッテイル、とず〜っと思ってきた。カラダには生命があるから見えなくたって動いている。ふるえている。泣いている。怒っている。笑っている。そのカラダは、地球と一緒に生きている。そのカラダの中で、僕は、必死にカラダになろうとするオドリだ。

プロフィール
1945年生まれ。1966年クラッシックバレエ、モダンダンスを学んだ後、1974年から独自のダンス、身体表現を追求。海外デビューは、パリ・秋芸の術祭『間―日本の時空間』展（ルーブル装飾美術館、1978年）。これをきっかけにし、ゆるやかで微細な動きで身体の潜在性を掘り起こすパフォーマンスは、ダンスをはるかに越えて、新しい芸術表現として世界に衝撃をもたらした。一方、1985年から今日に至るまで、山村へ移り住み農業を礎とした日常生活をおくることでより深い身体性を追求している。02年、映画『たそがれ清兵衛』（山田洋次監督）初出演により、映像への出演も多く、稀有な演技力によって異彩を放っている。著書『僕はずっと裸だった』、共著『意身伝心』、写真集『「光合成」MIN by KEIICHI TAHARA』。

For a long time, I have always thought I was dancing even though no one could see it. Life resides in a body and so it is moving, though hard to see. It is trembling. Crying. Raging. Laughing. The body is alive together with the earth. I am a dance, in the body, desperately trying to become the body. Min Tanaka

Biography
Born in 1945. Started learning classical ballet and modern dance in 1966, and began exploring own dance and physical expression in 1974. Debuted internationally with “Time-Space of Japan—MA,” Paris Autumn Festival, at the Louvre Museum in 1978. The performance—extremely gentle and infinitesimal movement to withdraw the potentiality of a body—forged an impact on the art world as a new artistic expression beyond the dance scene. To search for deeper physicality, he has been living in a village in the mountains and concentrating his daily life on farming since 1985. Since his first appearance in the film “Twilight Samurai” directed by Yoji Yamada in 2002, his compelling and distinctive acting has led to numerous film appearances. His books include “My Bare Body,” “Conscious Body, Contagious Mind,” (Coauthored) and photo-book: “Photosynthesis MIN by Keiichi TAHARA.”

中谷芙二子の霧の彫刻と田中泯の場踊りは、これまでも2004年の山梨県白州、2008年の横浜トリエンナーレ、2017年にはロンドンとオスロで共演してきました。大気を鋳型に変化する霧と肉体の機微を遺憾なく発揮する田中泯、二つの舞が水戸芸術館の広場で交差します。

Fog Sculpture × Locus Focus: The Dance of the Atmosphere and Body
Saturday, November10, 2018 and Sunday, November 11, 2018

Fujiko Nakaya’s fog sculpture and Min Tanaka’s Locus Focus have collaborated a number of times: In 2004 in Hakushu, Yamanashi, in 2008 in Yokohama Triennale, and in 2017 in London and Oslo.
The two ever-changing dances, by the fog that forms in the air as a mold and by Min Tanaka who expresses the subtleness of the body to the full extent, will cross their paths in the plaza of the Art Tower Mori.
